The act blends rock music, especially percussion, with paper, detailed lighting and audience participation. There is a "poncho section" in the audience, where members of the audience are given plastic ponchos to protect themselves from stage debris such as paint and food that is sprayed around. The show is geared toward families, is high-energy and fun, using satire to expand the mind and provoke thought about modern day society.
Themes of science and technology such as the Internet, DNA and sight are explored. Information overload is also central to the performance, such as when the audience is given three streams of information at once to read. The blue men are innocent and naïve, and always appear in a group of three. They are seen as outsiders from the rest of the world, and the group of three is the smallest number of people that can be together where one member could be viewed as an outsider by the other two. Many skits include this theme, with two members doing something different from the others.
